One of the major aspects about fanwork (especially fanfiction) centers around frustration; it's a long process of having to live with the fact that you like to write about certain things, and yet that you don't know how to get the words out correctly. From personal experience, it took years for me to get my drawing skills to be flexible and that's just for drawing anime. As for writing...well...let's just say that I don't have any right to talk much about what would be a good way to start, since I'm currently in a bind with that part now. ^^;;
Say...what kind of ideas were you working on for the writing part? Maybe I could add something in to push it forward?
Like I said, I write a lot. Specially when exposing some frustration, or random things about my life. I should be less transparent, but that's me, I guess... ^_
