FWIW, I believe Google Hangouts has a cap of 10 participants.

Good to know. I was basing my guess off of the Hangout capture I saw on the Muppet Studios YouTube page, which shows a huge number of fans logged in to hang out with Muppets appearing on three different screens. Having a cap makes far more sense, but it's possibly something a brand could get permission to overcome.
