Ok, I'm a total scardey cat....any "scary" book recommendations that you'd maybe let a 7th grader read?

Maybe something to ease me gently into horror....my beagle is my source of protection from the paranormal....ya know?

Honestly, I'm a fluffy bunnies horror kind of girl myself on a typical day, so it doesn't take a lot to scare me, either. I wouldn't recommend Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely to a seventh grader I didn't know well, necessarily, because I think it has some content that would appeal more to older teens, but I do think it's a great fairy story in a modern setting (with some definitely creepy fae in the mix). If the "Hallowmere" series by Tiffany Trent had finished, I would recommend those without reservation for that age group. (They're worth reading even though the ending doesn't happen -- you just have to imagine it! The rest of the series is so worth it.)

Thanks so much for coming by my blog! :)
