I mean, I can sorta understand the rationale behind her saying something at all (even if the execution still leaves me going "what the Hell, srsly 8/"), but you were obviously baffled, not to mention perfectly polite, in your exchanges, so what the Hell is up with the vitriol? Honestly, the willful ignorance is mind-boggling.

I can sort of see both sides of the issue here, because if you didn't realize what "nthing" is supposed to refer to, it would like a misspelling of "nothing." But other than that, the mod is being completely unreasonable here. I could MAYBE see gently chiding you for not being more clear, since there are (apparently?) ESLs on the comm who might have misunderstood you, but no PMing is totally an unusual rule, and her refusal to back down once you pointed out that it's a real word (with SOURCES, even) says to me that she's embarrassed to not have gotten it, and is taking it out on you.

Is there another mod you could take this to? Because that's just ridiculous.

This sort of thing just seems ridiculous. O___O It's almost as if the mod was just looking for an excuse to lord over other posters, as if he/she is clearly the paragon of a human thesaurus.

I sincerely hope the other mod will be able to resolve this "issue" without shutting you down outright like the first mod. >_

Yeah, ikr? When I saw I had a mod note in my e-mail, I'd assumed it was for getting into an argument on BRPS that I ended with my SCREW THIS icon, not for... a totally casual comment of support that used slang the mod was unfamiliar with!
