Stress is killing me

I'm meant to be writing my short story for prose but urgh! I can't focus on it. No point writing if I'm only gonna be writing shite. I'm stressing out too much. I got my grading in two days. The new form is uber long and complicated and I'll never get it right in time. I have to practice all day tomorrow to get it down. Urgh! Why did they have to ( Read more... )

*hugs* I hope you can get some bits of this sorted.

Why are you having such difficulties in finding a tutor to supervise your dissertation? It's ridiculous you've had to change your topic so many times. Depending on the size of your university, there should be an expert in most, if not all of the topic areas you mention. Are they all too busy and/or dead?

Congratulations on your excellent grade though! I think I know exactly how you feel. When I was doing my undergraduate degree, I got a 70% for an essay on the abolition of the slave trade. And I thought I was bound to fail, because I didn't think I understood the title...

Lets see, the tutor who could have supervised me for gay fiction is going on maternity leave (why have her on the list in the first place? I ask). The tutor who could have done children's fiction has no places left for non creative writing dissertations. As for the war fiction...I'm awaiting a response via email for that and I may have to chase the tutor up since I sent her an email on Monday and heard nothing all day today. So unorganised >.<

Thank you! I'm not gonna complain about how I got it, I shall just savour it. My best grade before it was a 64%.

Oh and I've managed to get some more of my story done. It's now ended up being 100% epistolary. I've written three letters so far; two from William, one from Jemima. Gonna try and get Jemima's second done before I go to bed.

That does sound scarily disorganised-so yours is just a typical university then??

Good luck with chasing up the other tutor. Have you got another way of contacting her aside from e-mail.

I'll happily read your story, if you'd like another opinion.

Yup, my uni has been disorganised from the start. It's great! haha.

I could go to her office, only I've tired that several times and she's always in a meeting with another student and I'm not very good at waiting around, especially on the fourth floor where there is nowhere to sit and nothing to do. Plus I don't need to go into uni tomorrow and would rather not as I have to spend all day practicing my kung fu forms.

Thanks for the offer. It is greatly appreciated. I may post what I've done in here later. Though if you know anything about how long a letter would take to get from a battalion camp in Belgium to the north of England that would be greatly appreciated because I am baffled.
