Just read over my last entry...omg! as if I forgot to mention how on Monday mum and I went to Macros and I bought a box of 36 bags of Skittles (y!) and a box of 24 packs of Reeces peanut butter cups. I now have my own private tuck shop under my bed XDD ( Read more... )

Your entry brought back some memories. I was in Great Yarmouth in June last year at a wedding. It's definitely gone downhill since I lived near there 17 years ago. I haven't been to Sea Palling in about 20 years. I remember it being quite nice though.

I love Norwich. Almost certainly the best thing about Norfolk! Even John likes Norwich and he doesn't usually like anything about Norfolk at all.

I'm not a big fan of either Norwich or Gt Yarmouth. Guess I just had enough of them growing up; I much prefer Manchester now. I don't mind the odd walk around my area though 'cause it brings back fairly welcome childhood memories.

Great Yarmouth is a dump! I only go back there occasionally because I still have a friend living there.

I suppose I also spent more time in Gt Yarmouth, than I did in Norwich-I went to school in Great Yarmouth. So I didn't get the opportunity to get as sick of Norwich as I did of Yarmouth.

I've only been to Manchester three times, so I can't really compare it with my Norfolk experience. I went to Manchester to visit the People's History Museum and the Labour History and Archive Study Centre, which is attached to it (the latter is on Princess Street, I believe). Based on that, Manchester seems to be a nice city.

I went to school in Norwich and college in Gorleston (next to Yarmouth), so I knew both places too well, lol. Manchester is just that much fresher and exciting for me now :)
