After the heavens had opened this afternoon, and then closed back up again, I decided to go for a "quick" cycle to Blarney. Ouch! that is some climb? You might have a smoother run of it going through town and then out Leitrim Street.

Yeah, that was the possibly-saner alternative I mentioned (give or take me not being 100% sure of some of the road realignments up that direction), and the route I came back by.

Memo to self: test brakes before coming back the Clogheen road, either...

God plan. Even though CUH is on the way home pedalling there from the Clogheen may be tough with two broken legs.
