Wow, oh wow! Ulquiorra-story!

The whole part before Ulqui-chan (ooh, he'd kill me for that one) met Aizen was very believable. He could have possibly been like that, along with the other arrancar and espada before their arcs began. His evolutions were also believable. (Kubo-sensei needs to get more involved with these things! :O)

LOVE the choice for Ulquiorra's zanpakutou and release. For the life of me, I can't translate "Cuélebre". I tried two different translators, and one of my languages is NOT Spanish (Je parle française!).

As always, great story!

Hehe you're taking a risk with that "Ulqui-chan". :o He wouldn't like that at all!

I would love to see more about the evolution of the arrancar. We can only hope that KT gives us a little love there someday.

Okay! I saw this right before I had to run off and make dinner so I scanned it, saw the word Cuélebre, looked that up and got all excited. That is what I've always thought Ulquiorra would be, a dragon. I know others think he won't be a mythological creature, but given the whole princess in a castle thing going on, it just makes sense to me. YEA!!!

I like how you make the instinct to consume more sound like a drug addict looking for his next score. More, more, more. Even facing down larger and stronger opponents.

^_^ I was really excited when I came across it in my research as well! I knew I had to use it, it's too perfect for Ulquiorra.

I did think of the all-consuming drive (if you'll pardon the pun) to grow and become more powerful as the same sort of pull that drives a junkie. For Ulquiorra, the need is primal.

You did an awesome job with this. I could very well see Ulq being like this before he met Aizen and I think, given his personality, it would take a near death experience to get him to concede defeat to someone else.

I've never given too much thought to Ulq's released form. Dragon makes sense though. If I were to come up with something for him, I've no idea what it'd be.

This was a really good read and I enjoyed it immensely.

*beams* Thank yooou! You can well imagine how wibbly I've been over this. I don't think I've ever taken on the challenge of creating quite so much for a fanfic before. Usually I'm a canon whore, but the point of this was to explore the unexplored, so... I took a breath and dove in! I'm really glad it turned out well.

I hadn't thought much about Ulquiorra before Shelagh dragged me into his corner of the fandom kicking and screaming. Once I was happily ensconced there, though, I couldn't help but wonder. :) Lots of Ulqui fans are set on the idea of wings, so I took that idea and ran with it. (Totally not motivated by the fact that one of Byakuya's bankai forms gives him wings, nope nope...!)

Oddly, I've never pictured Ulq with wings. I dunno why not. I mean, I love wing-boys. Huh. Weird.

It's good to do stuff outside of our comfort zones. It forces us to stretch and grow as writers. Also flexes that imagination of ours.

I've been so far outside my comfort zone lately, I don't even recognize myself! Wingfic doesn't usually float my boat, but these are special circumstances. :)

That might account for why I wake up in the middle of the night with RenIchi plotbunnies gnawing my toes... *shakes head* Soon it will be time to indulge in my OTP again before diving off into the next writery challenge.
