Hi all!  As promised, I'm putting this post up as a place for you to ask questions about this series. I'll answer as best I can, and edit the links into this post. :)

I suspect most questions were answered by the end of Covenant, but I did promise, and I know there's at least one still burning out there. I have a private bet on with

I know that Shirosaki said that his more "outrageous" behaviour during Covenant was due to the strange energy from Hueco Mundo, but he was awfully subserviant by the end there. Is he really going to lay off Ichigo (at least for awhile), or is this some byzantine plot to put our favorite orange-haired captain at ease so he can do a sneak-attack later?

I can't see, with the hints you laid about the Promise, that it could possibly be the end of their struggle.

Mm yes I can see how it might appear that he was 'subservient', but what we have to remember is that Ichigo and his Hollow were off-camera for more than 3 years post-canon (plus a war) before we saw them again at the start of this series, in Nexus. During that time, they came somewhat to terms with one another, and reached an agreement.

Their struggle will never truly end, but the end of Covenant is nine years post-canon. There are insinuations throughout the series that they have an agreement with strict terms and limitations, and in general it works. The Hollow will challenge Ichigo to ensure he is always strong enough to be a worthy king, but they have come to a mutual respect. Most of that development is off camera in the past, which we haven't yet seen in this series, it's only implied.

Well, now that you mention it, there have been some rumours floating around to that effect. *snicker*

Yes, I am planning another story in the series! Huzzah! It's not going to be quite what people may expect, though. It's a sequel and a prequel rolled into one. :) We'll be catching up with the guys some time post-Covenant, and find out more about their future. For reasons that will be revealed with the story, we will also be finding out what happened pre-Nexus, specifically during the war.

Did we ever figure out what happened to Grimmjow? I remember Ichigo mentioning him in Apotheosis, but not his fate. *Shrug*

And you never got back to me about whether or not you think Hollow!Ichigo would wear a black Captain's Haori or not...

The fate of Grimmjow and others will be revealed in the next story. :)

In the manga/anime, Ichigo's Hollow doesn't wear the belt, and the only thing we've seen him change into is the bankai outfit (which makes sense). So in this verse I decided that Ichigo's Hollow doesn't have the haori. It's something Ichigo values, not the Hollow.

I don't know if this is so much a question as it is just a wondering drabble but I was thinking about how Ichigo and Renji will be together for a pretty long damn time. As they are Shinigami, they are going to out live Chad, Ishida, Orihime, Ichigo's sisters, etc. Is that something that you plan to grapple with or is your "prequel/sequel" before that point in the future. Sorry if this makes your head hurt. ^_^

Edit: Also, we're you going to tell us the backstory about how Renji and Ichigo found their belts? Hehehe, I've been wondering ever since Shelagh brought it up.

Yes, they will watch their friends get old and die. That's something I will address in the next story, though I won't say yet if we see it.

Yes, I plan to reveal certain backstories, such as how they got the belts. :)
