Akuni: And we’re done, that’s it, the end of another installment of the Amaranthine series.

Ichigo: Though with a name like that, you could keep it goin’ for…

Renji: Forever?

Akuni: Well, I dunno, are you guys gonna do anything else story-worthy again? Or will it all be boring day-to-day stuff? Training recruits, filling out paperwork, ( Read more... )

But....excellent work you. Wonderfully written and a completely awesome read. It's been such a great ride. I'm not always a great commenter....but thank you so much for writing this and also for sharing.

And the art is absolutely gorgeous! *huggles you both*

I'm pretty much a disaster right now. :) Seeing the end of this story is... is... indescribable.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad that you've enjoyed the ride. :)

There are no words for the art, beyond "asdfghjkl!!" ^_^

Just in time for Valentines! (at least where I live) I'm actually surprised the boys have the energy for this, though. Heh. I'm glad they did, pervert that I am. Great chapter, great story.

Wow. . . last time to comment on this. *steels self* Okay, here we go. First, I love that this chapter wasn't just crazy sex. By now, I knew you would treat this chapter with respect and consider Ichigo and Renji's traumatic feelings about the possiblity of losing each other and the overwhelming joy of being home in each other's arms. My favorite part was when they were half clothed and they just had to stop and clutch on to each other. . . so moving and I will admit I had tears streaking down my face. The first time they made love was so moving. I really appreciated the way your wrote and described the scene. It wasn't graphic in the usual ways, but rather tender and emotional. Still there was a raw intensity there that comes out of their jangeled feelings ( ... )

I'm crying, lol! I am such a dope.

This chapter couldn't be just crazy sex. There was far too much that needed to be resolved, far too much healing to do between them. This chapter was about them finding them again after being apart, and they slipped back into it perfectly. Catching up... comforting each other... making slow, sweet love... grieving. Then laughing and wrestling and making love again with their passion flaring high, and joking and teasing and... fitting themselves back together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.

I will be making that Q&A post I promised, but not right away. I need to let this sink in for a few days, first. :)

It's over... gah... I feel so strange. *wibbles and wobbles*

I cannot thank you enough for your thoughtful comments through this whole story. More than most, you seemed to grasp the bigger picture, and I'm pretty sure you won the most cookies of anyone for picking up on things.

Ask me about other projects in this series during the Q&A. ;)

ILU2. ^_^

Don't cry, although I was too a few minutes ago. I am really looking forward to the Q&A but I can wait for it. You definitely deserve a relaxing sojourn after publishing, what was it 120k words!

It was my pleasure to read and review this story. I had a lot of fun trying to guess what was going to happen. More often than not, I was wrong, but I did enjoy the yummy cookies along the way! *is going to miss cookies*

I agree with platedlizard. You picked a perfect day to end it. That was such a sweet ending on Valentine's day. This was such a wonderful story. It'd be great if there was another installment. Congrats on finishing this one and doing such a wonderful job!

It was really very lucky that this ended where it did. :) I decided to begin posting the first week of December, like I did with the previous story in this series, and when I worked out the schedule and saw that the final chapters would fall this week, I knew I had to keep it. ^_^

Thank you for reading and reviewing! As for other installments... well I will never say never... *wink*

I know I'm echoing everyone else, but what a great Valentine's Day present :) I've been looking forward to this all day, and I know it's going to hit me more on Sunday evening, when I'm suddenly expecting my midnight (well, 11pm here) fix. Become fairly Pavlovian in my response to your writing :)

This chapter was a great way to end the story. Writing this must have been some strange sort of catharsis, huh? I don't know what lies next for our fated duo, but I feel like I've watched them grow, mature, and develop in so many ways while reading your fics, and I'm game for wherever they may head next. Thank you for sharing your imagination with us!

I don't know what I'm going to do Sunday night, either. It's an enormous shock for me, knowing that it's done. When I finished writing I was stunned. Sunday night I think I will be... I... I don't know. Probably in floods, thinking about how I won't be hearing from everyone 3x a week anymore.

They have changed so much over the years, but I think they stay true to their hearts. They are my heroes. :)

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

Hey, maybe we could all meet 3x a week at midnight (your time) and just do a RenxIchi talk :) That might help tide things over for a bit. hehe

But seriously, I do understand where you're coming from. My book deadline is in less than a week, and while it's not exactly been the same labor of love (writing non-fic about the Jews of Baltimore just kinda isn't), it's been an overwhelming, all-consuming, and pretty amazing experience for me. But I've already been planning new over=involved projects to get myself over the hump (since apparently, planning my wedding and my other current jobs aren't enough... I think I may be mentally impaired). Anyway, I know there will be a grieving period, but we'll be here for you, and I look forward to seeing where you end up on the other side of it :)

Haha, I think my husband is looking forward to the end of midnight postings. I stay up so very late on these days!

Wedding, ooh, congrats! :)

That book sounds like very heavy writing, phew. I hope when you are done you will be able to take a breather!
