    Ichigo surveyed the formation of the shinigami under his command. Good enough for now. They're a lot better.

This was his fifth time leading a patrol as acting captain of the 3rd Division. It didn't feel so strange anymore. Renji was right, of course. I've led people before. This's just a bit more formal's all.

Oh MAN you wrote this argument well! I didn't even see it coming and it flowed together perfectly after all the stress everyone has been through! Ichigo and Renji's reactions to it just tore me to peices, you do a great job of picking out what needs to be said and what can be summarized (I always end up writing everything out when I write, my baaad habit). I am teh awe of your l33t writing skillz. ^____^ Man the last line before the Omake.... Words to live by!

I'm so relieved that you thought it all flowed. This was torture to make fit, because I'd gotten a LOT farther along in the story before my beta realized as she started her final read that the whole thing was seriously lacking in conflict. I dropped what I was doing and did a full reread as well, and was horrified to see the problem unfold. I'd written it too much in 'scenes' and I had to do a lot of restructuring and rebuilding. The story is a lot stronger now, and flows much better, IMHO, but I still worried about this chapter a lot. It's hard to get a fight like this just right, and I wasn't certain if I'd be able to capture all those feelings that you get without overwriting it

Internet slang for elite... Remember those old calculator "tricks" where you wrote something on the calculator in numbers, turned it upside down (or just used certain sequences of numbers) and it looked like a word? Elite turned into "31337" which turned into any number of variations on the word, meant to obfusticate the language so you knew you were talking to another geek/hacker/gamer. ^_^ Its silly, but language "evolves" (though some argue devolves) in weird ways. :)

This fight flowed seamlessly to me. It felt very real and intense. When Ichigo didn't even look at Renji for the first couple of minutes I knew an argument was going to break out. It only takes one little thing for a fight to break out and I felt that their relationship was an actual relationship and not some fantasy because of the argument and the making up. It's what couples do.

I do love happy relationship stories were there seems to be no major fighting but I love my angst even more... (glad they made up though!)

I think we've all had a few fights like that, eh? We've all said stupid stuff we didn't really mean, but didn't really not mean... and we've all felt that awful, wrenching hurt and guilt when it's over but not quite gone. *sniffle*

Gwy, the whole story is already written. Check out the main story page for more info on that. :) No way at all I could write this fast - I've been working on this story since even before I finished Nexus!

There's more smut to come, never fear. :D It just wasn't the right time to show it after that fight.

Oh a discussion this time. While I never like discussions between couples (especially this couple!) I liked the way you wrote it in a realistic way. Really it's great! " but only time would heal the rest" This is so true! And I like the way they made things up. It wasn't like "ok we argued, then we made up, and life is once again a sea of roses". No, It's true that only time can heal the pain, but this discussion will be good for them to remember and never say things withough thinking them over again.
Ok I don't if I was too confusing with this. Waiting for the next chapter (and the smex) anxiously! ^_^
As a side note I hope they don't have another huge fight because it's too sad for me T_T

Couples sure do have those discussions! They suck, but they're a part of sharing your life with someone. We all make those promises, don't we? "I'll never do that again!" - but we do. Maybe not always as painful as the first big blowout, but it does happen. I don't envision these guys ever living in a 'sea of roses', though after all they've been through together, they've finally learned enough that it's not a sea full of sharks, either. :) Most of the time they get on fairly well, but sometimes that old 'foot in mouth' problem gets even the best of us.

As for more big fights... I never comment on the future of the story. Any answers I could give would just give too much away. :) So my standard answer is RAFO - read and find out! *ducks rotten tomatoes*

Persnally I was a bit shocked? Yeah sorta like Ichigo...

But perhaps I just wasn't watching the character development...
Don't take it the wrong way I really like it it's not that, just sorta came out of the blue.

Anyways nice chapter, I will wallow in my emoness because you didn't have the hot steamy make up sex in the chapter... *emoes*
