Boston Legal, overwhelming epic BFFness

By now, my flist should know that I really enjoy a good friendship story.  There have been some good ones over the years, ones that still stick with me and make me smile.

I've recently discovered another amazing friendship, one that charms me utterly in its depth and sincerity.

Why didn't someone tell me about Boston Legal sooner?  My mother-in-law ( Read more... )

Epic Friendships FTW!! :D

I was doing some more reading on Boston Legal and it reminded me of the biggest reason I never watched it as a regular show. Candace Bergen. I never could stand her as an actress. Not that she's not a good actress, it was more one of those undefinable things and I could just never watch her.

Still I'm looking forward to hearing all your squees and rants when you're all done with it. ;)

Aww that's too bad, I love her! I guess you're safe this time, this is one thing I won't be dragging you into with me. ;)

As soon as I get to the end, we're going to have to sit down and have a good gab about it. :D

Boston Legal is my favorite show ever. I was so sad when it ended for good. At least I can watch the DVDs over and over though :)

Yay! It's quickly becoming one of my favourite shows ever, too. I'm almost to the end of s3. I'm trying not to gobble them all up because then they'll be all gone, but it's so hard to stop watching.

Recent thoughts:

When they strained the friendship between Alan and Jerry I was rather distraught. I liked the old Jerry who was sincere and kind, who had gone from being unable to shake hands to throwing bear hugs at Alan in happy surprise. I was so glad when they fixed things. :) (He's still not allowed on the balcony, though... heehee!)

Needs more Trek jokes. Seriously, they had an episode with *four* ST vets in it, and no jokes? Bah. BAH! Nearly killed myself laughing at the 'Klingons' gag! \o/

I desperately want to see outtakes for this show. I can only imagine... :D

I don't even know how they managed to say some of the lines they did with a straight face at all! Yes when that happened with Jerry I freaked out a little too. Ahh the balcony, a special place for Alan and Denny, when Denny isn't shooting things :p

Boston Legal |D~ That used to come on Sundays, I believe... After Desperate Housewives? Well, either way, they replaced it with Gray's Anatomy when the ratings weren't good, and I swear, I held -still hold?- a grudge against that stupid doctor show and refused to watch it because I wanted my hilarious legal... whatever kind of show it is. Unfortunately, when it switched from Sunday night to Monday, I lost track of it because I can only keep in mind one night a week to watch new cable show premiers. How many seasons did it end up being?

I tried watching GA but I got soooooo bored. If I want to watch a soap, I'll watch ABC daytime. ;)

BL (ahaha) ended up with five seasons, though the fifth was only half length. I'm boggling at finding out how much trouble the show had staying on - it's freaking awesome, how could anyone want to cancel it?

I gather the finale was pretty huge, but I'm trying VERY HARD not to get spoiled. *whimper* So tempted, but no, I must remain strong because I always, always regret getting spoiled.

Well. If you wanted soap opera, you'd just... watch Desperate Housewives... At first, I really enjoyed it, then like so many shows I just quit it cold turkey for no real reason... aaaand never will pick it up again, most likely.

I dunno. I think it had... quirky humor? Too odd for mainstream, maybe? OR the network just didn't want to deal with it and shunted it around so the people who DID want to watch it couldn't.

I have no idea about the show. I lost track of it after... 3 or 4 episodes? That's when it moved to Monday night and fell off my radar. What I think I need is to rent it. B| Dunno. Get unlimited netflix for 2 months, watch every single TV show I ever wanted. Aaaand then cancel it.

*LOL* I wasn't a dedicated viewer of Boston Legal but yes, Alan and Denny, that is definitely an epic friendship there. I love those types of stories sooooo much!

Me too! I'm dancing in my seat every time there's an episode with: a road trip, an excuse for costumes... :)
