I've been knitting and playing with my dolls/making them clothes. I've been plugging away on one story that absolutely WANTS to be written while other things I feel like I should be writing are languishing *sigh*. On the upside, Instinctual Moves doesn't feel way long in my head, but we all know that my idea of long and most people's idea of long are... different.

Haven't seen you around on IM and I miss that. But so long as you're content, it's all good, right?

*chuckle* Yes, there's ample proof of that - your 'short' stories end up long, and your 'long' stories are inevitably epic. :)

I am an IM failbot lately, and I miss it, too! My yahoo is totally hosed, and I have no idea what's going on with it. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, etc, but it's just a disaster. When it decides to load properly, and when it decides to let me log in, it only lasts a few hours before it decides to lock up and die again. :( I've had a few other technological glitches with my laptop, and the thought that my precious might be failing sends me into a frenzy of backing stuff up "just one more place".

I'm content-ish. ;) The heavy stuff is still weighing on my mind, but I'm trying not to think about it and filling my time with other chores that need doing. Avoiding is better than spazzing, I think, though I know I can't run from it for long. But until I do have something concrete to work with, I'm doing my best not to get lost in the back of my mind again. *shudder* Those were some ugly weeks, I tell ya.

I dunno if it'd be worth it/useful to you, but Trillian is a decent program for IM-ing and it does AIM,YIM,MSN and ICQ all in one fell swoop. I don't know if that'd fix your problem but it might.
<--- is technical idiot

I use it mainly because I have different people using different programs and it's less space than DL-ing all the separate clients. Some stuff doesn't work well with Trillian (direct connect for file sharing) and those annoying as hell (to me) emoticons *vicious smile*. You can't get pokes or nudges with it either *snarky smile*.

I already use Trillian for my ICQ and AIM, but I had to take MSN and Yahoo off because of the file sharing, and because I was using the MSN handwriting thing to draw with Sekra. :) (Plus I like the annoying emoticons, and my dad is fond of the winks, too, though they're not my thing.) I don't need those features as often these days, so yeah, that's a good idea. :)

As soon as I feel IM-sociable again I shall hook that up, woo! I think I was subconsciously avoiding it because I haven't felt chatty lately, and I only turn on my MSN these days to talk with hubby at work, and so my mom doesn't wonder what's wrong if I'm offline for a few days. :p

Oh how I've missed you! Though I haven't been around all that much more than you have ( ... )

I've missed you, too!! *cling* I pop on AIM once in a while to see if you're there, but we never seem to meet at the same time!

I've been incredibly UNproductive. It's all make-work. I still spend a huge amount of time online just farting around, reading fic... :p But my house is clean, so that's something.

My garden is full of weeds and grass. ;) It's been next to impossible to get it all done, waiting for a break in the weather when I'm home to do something about it. But my veggies are still managing to survive through, since I left them lots of room. Last night I harvested my first lettuce and spinach, enough for one tiny bowl of salad that we shared. *laugh* It was good, though!

Scrubs! So much love. ^_^ Pity I don't think I'd write for it, otherwise it would be great inspiration.

We may have to make a chat date over email. *laugh* I'd love to hang with you soon. ♥

Clean house, dirty mind? *g*

Oh yum! you're very own garden salad. How wonderful.

Since Roarke is leaving for a whole week tomorrow I'm definitely going to need a chat at least once if you have time. I always feel so crazy for adult conversation when he's gone that long. So if you feel like setting up a chat so that it fits in with your schedule I'd love to oblige. :D

You should! It's so much fun. :)

I'm glad your writing is going well. :) I've got lots of thoughts, but when it comes time to get them on paper it just doesn't happen. Probably just too much else on my mind to really put the energy to lose myself in it - much easier to lose myself in someone else's writing. That's actually probably a good thing. Less writing means I'm taking the time to recharge by reading more. *ponders that*

You get your cast off next week, woo! I hope you won't need another one. :( Will they find a knee brace for you?

What in the name of all things holy is Skittles Vodka?! Vodka flavoured skittles (??) or a supposedly clear liquid taking on shades of the rainbow, I'm totally confused.

In other related comments to your post-

A) You're planning to knit a summer dress. Now, I know your summer is different to ours, but...

B) Scrubs. Something I never really got into, but it was always good if there was nothing else on and you wanted a laugh :P

Add 10 skittles per 1oz of vodka. Shake, stir, let sit until candy is dissolved. Sieve out any remaining solids, drink skittle-flavoured vodka. Mmm. :)

I'm not knitting it out of WOOL or anything. :P It'll be a nice light cotton dress. In theory... It might wind up being a fall dress to be worn over a t-shirt. :p

Scrubs is win. \o/ We must discuss this more.

..........I'm totally going to have to try that. Does it work with sour skittles? :D

*snicker at icon* :D

Home grown veggies are the best, they really are, but man it's so much work. It took me forever to get everything ready and planted! I hope the rewards are tasty. *grin*

My crafty-ness comes in waves. Right now I'm in a big knit/crochet phase. Soon I shall have to return to a soapmaking phase, because I'm running out. Then I'll shift into cooking mode again once my freezer is empty. And... yeah. ;)

I love Scrubs so hard. I couldn't believe the rate at which I was devouring episodes, but I found I really didn't care. So tasty. ^_^ We must talk about this! Who are your faves, etc?

See, I wondered about whether the stress of my job was motivating my personal writing, because I wrote more those years than I ever did before. I needed an outlet. But now that I have the time, the panicked drive is a lot less, more like a gentle urge these days. ;) That's probably a good thing for my sanity, but my writing did slow down. Hmm! If I had more discipline...
