Bleach 337, thoughts

Bleach is awesome, oh yes it is. :)  I miss talking about Bleach!  None of the one person I talk to regularly these days is into Bleach, and me and my Bleach buddies are not on compatible schedules over the holidays.  Woe!  Someone fangirl with meeeee~!  It's just not the same talking to hubby about it... ;)

Oh yes, I always want to see more of Ukitake. I think he's lovely, and I want him to be my friend and come over for tea. ^_^

Monster is stupid. Well, that's a good reason, I guess. :)

This week's anime episode was Byakuya being sexy and hardcore, defeating pumpkincar Leroux. You could watch that episode just for Byakuya thrills. :)

BTW I thought of you when I read the latest John Barrowman BBC drama. *shakes head* It was radio, for goodness' sake, and it's John Barrowman - what else did they expect when they goaded him?

Three words: I Ship It.

The brief ShuuKira moment last chapter made me squee so hard, and now, oh my gosh - "Are you sure you want to get rid of me?" "Who said I'm getting rid of you?!"

I'm glad it wasn't an instant win for the guys either (after the squeeing I was kind of aggravated at the whole "Big Strong Men coming to rescue Poor Defenseless Women, regardless of the fact they all share the same rank), and in the midst of "OMG Shuu! OMFG Iba-san! OMFG YAMA-JI!" (not the mention the whole "Kira was in 4th Division that's so adorable must write fic" part) I was pretty much at a loss, so I don't find it very surprising the monster went all "Small. Monster. Brain. Can't. Comprehend." and threw him away. Why, you ask?
HE'S TOO HOT.

*laugh* Yah, ShuuKira is gaining popularity, and I can certainly see where it comes from. I just don't like Kira, though, so I don't really go looking for it. ;)

I'm very intrigued by Kira having been in the 4th.

OMG I'M SO BEHIND.

But when it comes to long, drawn out battles, no matter what the manga, I'm kind of... not motivated to read. I still love it, and I love to see who's fighting who, but I always find with shounen manga that the fights go waaaaaaaay too long D: (OT: this point, however, is totally not applicable with Berserk. total exception to the rule of short-attention-span. 8D;;;

So, in conclusion. I have a vague idea of what's going on (READ: apparently, it's still ongoing from when I last caught up), but let's face it. Realistic anything in Bleach?

I like reading them better when I can take a dozen chapters in a lump, that way it doesn't feel quite so drawn out.

The big news of this chapter is that Kira used to be 4th Div, and Yamamoto is finally going to actually fight.

Bleach can be realistic! *flails* OK... sometimes? ;)

My trick is when I know there's mass fighting going on, is to leave it until I have some sort of hint that it's over and that there is some actual, you know, conversations and plot development that doesn't include "AAAAAAAAAARRR" for pages on end.

Then I read it all at once, and actually feel that I've gotten something out of the storyline that isn't gratuitous violence and massive switching POVs.

You know me, I want plot, damnit.

... So like, where are we surprised at the news Kira was a 4th? :P

*snort* Ok, sometimes, like when..... and then he.... no wait, I got nothing. :P

*laugh* See, I had been on the edge of a long Bleach rant for a while - this post originated as a reply to someone else's thoughts on the chapter. Once I started, I had to stop replying there and start a new post of my own because I felt a rant coming on. :P
