Hey, what if they used your name, but translated it to another language....like the French "pique-nique de lithium?"

:oP

Or Spanish....merienda campestre de litio
I think the German one is the best: Lithiumpicknick

hehehe

OH lordy, I hope this doesn't start a new trend of foreigners using your name.....

Then you'll have to translate "asshat" to all of them.

Phillip, what the hell is an asshat?

...

"SIT ON MY FACE! BITCH!"

I'm going to leave nasty messages on the bands page now.

I'll answer this one for him. The word originated from an insult that went something like "I'll kick your ass so hard you'll be wearing it as a hat." and somehow just ivolved into a common insult. A brother to jackass which has grown far too old and is now retired as the new generation needs new words.

;)

The most funny thing about this? As far as I can tell this band has changed their name twice since this dispute came up. Thats right, these assholes have officially renamed their band twice. Valium Lullaby and now Opium Alibi. I checked their page the first time around and I guess the picnic crew either busted their ass enough... or they had some sort of small common sense and changed it. I wonder if they took the same heat a second time?

Either way, its amusing.

Plus their stuff bites ass.

Wow, thats even worse. I'm sure the worst part about it is that they still imagine they're credible artists.

You know, you could get an attorney to do this all for you. It might make some of these bastards realize the seriousness of infringing on another person/company's copyright/trademark. Good luck though, the internet age is making plagarism way too hip.

If it's reasonable, you could tack on a legal fee when you shoot for paying clients. That way both you and the client are protected.
There are attorneys out there who work for good prices (or will accept an exchange of service), especially if you are a frequent client. Look for someone with a small community based civil practice.
Also, there are lawyers who subscribe to SG that may be interested. I use to work for one in NC. If I was an attorney, I'd certainly help you out.
Last, you can always chose to make images that cannot be copied by right clicking. Won't stop everyone, but will slow down those who don't have better ripping technology.

I'm sure you've heard all this before...............

Actually, unless he has the option to "view source" turned off, disabling right clicking won't do all that much. I may take a bit more time, but if someone wants the image enough, they'll go through the source.
