Today is an auspicious day. It marks the official start of the process of writing my final dissertation. Yes, after a mer 2 1/2 months of procrastination, I put pen to paper (allright, finger to keyboard) and started writing. You know; diligence pays off in the long run, but procrastination pays off right now...
Cutting a paper is seldom easy, so good luck.

Nah. Short term gains are always nice, and you can usually procrastinate paying the debts they cause you to incur...
Admittedly this is a way of thinking that will leave the world a smoking wasteland within a few centuries, but I'm confident I won't live to see it, so no worries there.

I've always liked writing too much and then cut away. It gives me the (probably wrong) feeling that what i leave in is the condensed awesomeness of my genius. Does consume more time, though. And it's not fun to kill your babies.
