I think there's a certain point at which an interest is so obscure that drawing fanart inspired by it isn't creating something other fans of said interest will enjoy as much as it is "recruiting" new fans by making them curious about said interest.

I've been thinking of making another 3rd-person adventure game in Flash. Just thinking. It will probably take a very long time just to get past the conceptual stage (if it ever does), so don't start getting overly excited just yet.
