I wonder if there is any correlation between folks who are fontophiles and "neat" handwriting?  Aka, are people who are hyperaware of typography more or less likely to have "neat" handwriting? If I was in 8th grade, that would be my science project

I am a fontophile (I have designed fonts) and my handwriting is atrociously bad.

As is mine. I used to do calligraphy very well - before college. Now my writing is a spastic scrawl. Maybe it's that I don't know how to write slow anymore?

By "best hiding spots in their homes" do you mean best places for a person to hide himself/herself? Or best places for a person to hide an object?
