It is with great trepidation that I lay my thoughts out in this journal. It has been years since I've written anything,. even a short, simple comment seems challenging nowadays. I still remember the countless times I've put my thoughts on paper or on screen. I did'nt really care back then I wrote what i wanted to write. Now, I notice every detail,

I know this post is really old but I had to comment anyway. Self consciousness and doubt affect(effect?) most people sometimes but artists are especially at risk. Such common feelings that many artists turn to drugs and alcohol in order to continue their craft.
You are not alone in your feelings but so wrong. Your writing showed real promise. Definitely enjoyable and better plotting than most stories I have read. A little polishing to make perfect but that's all. And polish in the grand scheme is nothing.
I hope your writing somewhere.
