I've finally discovered the real reason why most otaku never move out of their parents' basement: Moving a bunch of nerdy shit is complicated.

Referring back to my last room picspam, you can see that I indeed have a lot of nerdy shit. (I have some newer pictures on my camera, a sort of E's Room: A Memoriam, but don't have time to upload them ( Read more... )

We had some quart sized ones sitting around so I'm using those first. When I use all those I'll get some snack sized ones (oh god why do I have so much stuff).

The only "furniture" I'm shipping is my desktop computer. Considered shipping a chair but fuck that. For dishes, I'm just sending about 6 or 7 mugs (I have this horrible addiction to Disney mugs).

lol... that makes me think of when were trying to assemble all my small plastic figurines, last time you were here for the pumpkin festival. I finally gave up and glued Guy's scabbard into his hand so I'd stop losing it.

Good luck with the move! What day will you be leaving?

It'll be over soon, E dear. Just break the large tasks down into smaller ones. You're pretty well-organized, so it'll all get done.
Congrats on moving out, this is a big step. It'll be nice to have you on the east coast. Oh, and folks on the east coast go to Disneyworld (coughOrlando-not-far-from-Tampacough).

Screening your comment for phone number. If we send out a text I'll be sure to include you, but we'll likely post something from Patrick's dad's house.

That'll work. I'll poke my head back in before leaving work today, then on Monday if we DON'T HAVE OUR (BLEEP)ING COMPUTER BACK.

Thanks for screening-out my phone number. I can be pretty careless about some of this newfangled technology. That reminds me, think you'll appreciate this: our Canadian friend was down here to visit last week, and at one point he used the phrase "high-falutin metaphysics." Cracked us up.
