In which I distract myself from reality

Holy christ, I really want a Tales of Hearts mabo curry conbini bentoNew Xbox Experience is alright. Avatars are pretty dumb but I'm sure I'll deal somehow. (I wanted to make Rita real bad but they don't have nearly the level of customization required, wehh.) But the most important thing: I CAN PLAY VESPERIA FROM MY HARD DRIVE. It doesn't fix ( Read more... )

I translated that text at Google and it said something about 612.8 Circle K stores. Obviously Circle K means something different there than it does here...

We'll all be here when you're ready; take your time getting through this. (grabs a guitar, plays whatever your favorite song is)

conbini = convenience store, so yeah they're talking about Circle K.

This is my favorite song right now. :) Which kind of depresses me because I wanted to buy Jack Johnson's CDs off of iTunes but now I can't. Blah.

Well, so Circle K is still a global entity. There was a time, before the Tampa Bay market got saturated, that there was a Circle K on damn-near every street corner. A lot of those stores were sold off. I'm pondering the .8 of a store - how do you get .8 of a convenience store? Did somebody forget to build a wall or move the deli in? :O

That's a neat song, and a very intriguing video. There's a lot going on there, yet it's seamless.

That's so funny, because the original text says "total 6,128 stores". Why did Google remove the comma and put a period in a different place? How weird. XD

Jack Johnson's music is really relaxing to me. Same with Death Cab for Cutie. I guess I just like acoustic-y rock with tenors. :3

Resident Evil 4 XD;;

Uh... I mean I watched 'drea play through Bioshock. That involves killing a lot of crazy mutated dudes. And possibly little girls if you want to be a bastard. ::shrug:: The game made me kind of dizzy but it was interesting to watch.

Honestly my first thought was RE4, but I have this weird thing where I don't like playing more than one game on the same console at the same time. I think it's just :effort: for the most part.

I might pop in Bioshock later, we'll see.

IAWTBioshock. If you play it on easy it's basically a dude-killin' party. Hitting things with a wrench is VERY cathartic.

Here's my recipe for Splicer Baseball (which is almost as amusing as vampire baseball):

1.) Obtain the static discharge gene tonic (which is in the second level).

2.) Buff your wrench with tonics.

3.) Stand in place, wait for splicers to rush you. When they hit you, the static discharge will do damage + electric pulse damage, and you should be able to knock them away from you with one wrench-swipe.

4.) Laugh manaically.

(My other favorite thing to do in Bioshock is to kill stuff by throwing whatever comes to hand with telekinesis. The most badass thing to kill other things with is the business end of a trap bolt, but killing splicers with dead splicers is also amusing. As is killing splicers with bullets. Not from a gun, just a box of bullets TKed at them.)

The Ninety-Nine Nights demo off XBL is a pretty good SMASH EVERYTHING game! The real thing was all meh, though. D:
I was hoping installing would fix that first battle thing, though. Does it at least shorten it?

Nah, seems about the same to me. I didn't really fiddle around with loading in other places, since Vesperia's load times were pretty negligible. The big draw is not having to hear the disc spin all the time, which is pretty damn awesome.

Ahh...sorry, I'm still a n00b at using my Xbox, but how do you put Tales of Vesperia on the harddrive? O.o

After you install the system update, go to the My Xbox tab where it says "Play Game" and press Y to get Game Details. There should be an option there to install to hard drive. You still have to have the disc in the drive, but the Xbox won't have to actually read from the disc, so it's a lot quieter and a little faster. :)

Oh. Is it a recent system update? I have yet to connect to Xbox live ever since I bought my 360...haha.

It amazes me how there are practically NO clothing options. They're supposed to add more later, I guess.

I thought your avatar was cute, btw. XD
