Heh. Mission 17 seems to be a problem for a lot of people; everywhere I look on the message boards there are threads with people going D: about it. Good luck!
'drea and me still have a little ways to go before that boss but we've decided to not bother with the secret missions until our second play-through. I predict much screaming then.
I kind of found Crisis Core rather meh. The missions are really repetitive and Squeenix's overblown crazy plot gets old after a while. Zack is adorable though and it's kind of nifty to see familiar FF7 locations redone. I hope you're having fun.
How is Gurren Lagann? I've been kind of curious about that series for a while now.
I wish I'd decided not to bother with the secret missions. :( But I've got them all so far, so it would be a pain to go back and get them all again in a second playthrough. You guys do have the advantage of a 2nd player though; trying to limp along by quick-switching between characters doesn't really help for that mission.
Yeah, Crisis Core isn't all that great, but my coworker was nice enough to loan it to me so I've been playing it. The missions are kind of samey, but by doing a ton of them I ended up way overleveled for the story. It's kind of fun to just poke things and they fall over. XD
I'm really getting a kick out of Gurren Lagann. It's like every mecha cliché crammed into one show, and it's really over-the-top but self-aware about its over-the-top-ness. It's kind of the same as Code Geass in that way.
All I gotta say about Vesperia is, don't give up, don't go even one day without trying, 'cause I was at the level in Kingdom Hearts where Sora has to solo fight Riku without Donald and Goofy... and lemme tell you, I failed about 300 times. I was told every single method in the book, and I was NEVER able to beat Riku on my own. I tried and tried, I tried so hard I hurt my wrist. And so I quit for a while, thought I'd come back to it, and I NEVER DID. I still regret not ever beating it, and stopping when I did. I have no idea where the memory card is for it, and if I found it, I don't remember how to play, so there goes an absolutely amazing game that I am never gonna see the end of, and that saddens me :(
