I am intrigued by that story premise. I've read a lot of stories about ghosts that needed to do something in order to be able to rest in peace; this looks like a different twist.

Yeah, it does have a rather different feel to it, to me. Definitely requires some further thought though, to figure out why, if the man and the books are both ghosts, he can't get to them, and how I could help bridge that gap. I think it's supposed to be a murder mystery, at least a mystery of some sort, and the books are, I think, just a first step in solving the puzzle, but I don't know what that puzzle is, or what happened. So, must ponder. My dream brane is much more innovative than I am.

I would love you to write a ghost story. You know I'm a sucker for them and for your writing.

Well, I didn't know where to go with this beginning, but last night I had another, rather creepier dream about how some objects still had pieces of the souls of the previous owners caught in them, and people were buying them up online to literally sell souls to the devil, and I think I can merge the two together to make a coherent story. At least, I jotted a bunch of notes today on the train to work, and I have more stuff in my head. This may yet be a story I can tell.
