I have to be grateful that the pets are all pretty sanguine about loud noises, since our beloved city of Kent sounds rather a lot like a war zone tonight. The dogs periodically react to Ray's dog, across the street, who is barking almost incessantly, but even that doesn't stay interesting very long. They've never reacted particularly to the sound

Yep, they and we are quite lucky and we do know it. Hal's childhood dog, Lila, was apparently deeply distressed and would cower and whine her way through each Independence Day. Kaylee doesn't fear much of anything besides the evil caniverous basement stairs, and Shoobie fears nothing at all, as befits a vetted Emperor of All He Surveys.

Some close-by neighbor thought it would be particularly fun for them to set off mortars within yards of our back yard. We don't have dogs, but other do.

Oh, my noivs.
