A Complication of House Pets

As of tonight, I have decided that the most appropriate collective noun for an assemblage of miscellaneous house pets is "a complication". Shoobie is fearsome as fuck, and he's happy to tell anyone who will listen (and who also speaks at least passable Shoobiese).

Dead rat keep-away! Oh, Shoobie.

Dead rat keep away, indeed. My mistake was in thinking that he wouldn't be interested because the rat was already dead. If it had been a live rodent I would have known I was in for it. That would be why I was in such a blind rush to get the live mole Tinka brought in to me back outside before Shoobie spotted it, because at that point, it would be a dead mole in a hurry.

You must remember that
A cat is but a cat
A dog is but a dog
The complicated things apply
As rats they die.
