today i had a home cooked meal! you never realize how much you miss your mom's cooking until you haven't had it in a while. Baked chicken, with home-made macaroni and cheese, with mash potatoes and home-made gravy! man that gravy was good ( Read more... )

ahhh, a home cooked meal... Sounds pretty nice right now - after living in the dorms for two months without anything decently "home cooked" (oiee - I can't wait until thanksgiving break!)

I can't wait either!!!! i didn't have a thanksgiving meal last year, i had just got my place and honestly i didn't want to cook! but this year, it's going to be...>.< why did you bring it up now i'm thinking about it! but i got another home cooked meal today too. I think my mom is tired of me eating cereal and pizza everyday so she's cooking me stuff lol.

I know what you mean! There was a few years where my parents didn't feel like cooking, so we went out to a nice restaurant (to a restaurant on thanksgiving! I absolutely hated it!) - I'm glad that for the past few years, we've been doing the traditional family cooking thing.

Hehe, I had to share the pain... I've been thinking about it for the past week... Ever since the dorm put up signs about "Staying over Thanksgiving Break? Here's what you have to do:" (summary of the signs: obtain permission and pay extra to stay for the week of thanksgiving).

Oieee!!! You got another home-cooked meal! I'm jealous! The best I can hope for is going out to Bob Evens for dinner or something... :(

you guys have to pay to stay over thanksgiving break? the university of cincinnati doesn't make students pay. We only have to pay if its winter break...which is around i think 500-600 dollars. and of course summer, spring break obviously isn't an option, unless you're an international student
