Harry and Ron stood side-by-side, sipping hot chocolate milk, while watching Teddy and Rose play in the snow in The Burrows yard. They had both promised Hermione that they would look after the children, while they having fun, and so they had dutifully made sure that they were dressed warmly to brave the cold.
“So I’ve heard that Malfoy got a secret admirer,” Ron said looking at the corner from his eye at Harry.
“Yes. Apparently he has,” Harry replied taking a sip, and pointedly didn’t look at Ron.
“Any idea who it might be?”
“None,” Harry said as he watched as Teddy helped Rose make a snowman. “Though I have to say that your awfully interested in Malfoy these days. Is there something you want to tell me?”
Ron let out a bark of laughter. “There is no way I’m hooking up with Malfoy. But seeing as my best friend is head over heels in love with the git, I figured he has to do something about it.”
“I’m not hooking up with Malfoy either,” Harry mumbled into his cup.
“But you want to.”
Harry was saved from replying by Teddy who was calling for the both of them to look at the snowman he and Rose had made. They looked at it and burst out laughing. The snowman was turned upside down. It looked like it was doing a headstand out of happiness.
“Rose wanted to do the face, but since she wouldn’t been able to reach it, we build it upside down,” Teddy explained, while Rose nodded her head furiously beside him.
“Well it certainly is original,” said Ron as he had calmed down.
“Very creative,” Harry nodded.
