...this certainly is a shitty time for people to be in love.

I'm sorry to hear that, Akihiko-san.

Ah... Are you still nervous around her? I admit, that costume of hers probably didn't help matters much, did it?

No, no, I'm getting better! But er, we didn't really talk for that long. It was a nice costume.

That's good to know. And I'm sure there will be better opportunities in the future. Thank Kanji-kun for that! He really outdid himself!

Yeah, I'm sure I'll have other chances. He's really amazing at sewing, eh?

He is! I can't believe that he was so embarrassed about possessing such a wonderful talent. What I can't understand is why someone would ever tease him for possessing such skills...

I can believe it. People can b jerks, and Kanji-kun's not the only guy I've known with a skill that might get them teased.

But that's the odd thing, though... A lot of famous fashion designers and tailors are all male...

Yeah but...aren't most of them gay?

...Most doesn't mean all! Besides, what should it matter? I don't see why people are so focused on their sexual orientation, anyway... It doesn't dictate one's talent.

I know that! I'm just saying, that's why guys like Kanji-kun might not want to advertise the fact that they can sew. Because people might assume they're gay, and maybe he doesn't want people thinking that about him.

It's kind of sad, the world we live in, if people can't be free to openly love someone just because they happen to be the same sex.

But both his parents owned the Textile Shop and were happily married... and straight. You'd think that that would be a good enough example to everyone...

Yeah, you'd think that'd be enough... but I know from experience sometimes it's hard to be honest with people about that, too. Even if some people aren't going to look down at you, it's hard to risk it.

That's true... But I accept him anyway, even if no one else does.

You're not the only one who accepts him, believe me.

I'm glad! He deserves to have many wonderful friends.
