What is this!? I'm on Mission 5 in Kurenai no Tsubasa (still need to put screencaps and stuff together for 3 and 4 before I update, but the writeup is done). My emulator randomly decided to freeze, so I took a break to look through the omake CGs I'd found so far in the mission. I got this:

So, I love how anime!Satoshi has much, much, MUCH more HoYay than manga!Satoshi, which is saying something.

Have you ever seen the English episode commentaries? If not, you should watch the commentary (if you can find it) for the last episode. It's Satoshi and Krad's VAs. Satoshi's goes on a crazy Ho Yay spiel about half way through, if I remember correctly. It's HILARIOUS.

Kurenai no Tsubasa!Satoshi messes with my brain even more, since the game uses the anime art designs but the manga storyline. @_@; The characterization ends up as an odd mix between the two, sometimes leaning more one way and sometimes the other.

Also, yes, I've heard that commentary. Greg Ayres is an amazing man. XD He's also one of the few English VAs whose name I remember, which is saying something.

manga storyline

My respect for this game has increased a billion fold

I'm curious--what kind of events do they reference that make you recognize it's the manga storyline?

Dude, same here. I <3 Greg Ayres.

Some things that I can recall off the top of my head:
•Satoshi's promise to not arrest Daisuke from the lost bet with Dark in volume 2.
•Daisuke and Riku falling during the winter hike while trying to get Risa's hat from the same volume.
•Mentions of Dark having feelings for Riku earlier (since he didn't in the anime), and no mention of Harada Rika.
