Weight Watchers

Hey everyone! A week ago, I re-joined Weight Watchers, and I have a blog on WeightWatchers.com, but I was thinking of posting it over here as well. I don't want to clog everyone's flists, if they don't really care about my journey through weight loss (I will not be offended, don't worry!), so if you want to see the posts, or just don't want to miss ( Read more... )

I'd be interested :) Reading about other peoples food habits and successes usually help me be good :) I'll have a look at that website, too.

YAY! *hugs* Yeah, I've used SparkPeople off and on. I think it works best if you're okay with engaging in the community at large online. Weight Watchers has an online-only version too, but I think spending less time on the comp, and actually building relationships with the people around me helped me the most. :) Plus, it gets me close to my gym, which I really need to go to more often! But - it really does help to have support from all angles, you know? I'm even getting my roommates in on it. :D

I#ve done Slimming World before and it wasn't particularly the diet that helped, I think it was the support, so I think that's defo the way forwards! :D

Congrats!

I used sparkpeople when I was living in the dorms and had wifi and was pretty much constantly online. Now that I DON'T have internet constantly(I get internet if I sit with my computer on the cold concrete floor of the garage. My foot is asleep.) I can't keep up with the online, so I do it old-fashioned way.
My mom and next door neighbor are accountability people, I've got a journal for food and exercise, and a calorie-counting book if I'm really curious. On the downside, it's harder to track things and keep track of it. On the upside, I get much more regular sunlight and exercise and can't hide in my room and eat. So less privacy/connectedness= healthier living for me.

Awesome! I'm glad that is working for you. I'm just trying to get support from all angles, you know? And tracking online is kind of easier and fun for me, but I know what you mean about "hiding in your room and eating." lol.

So, does this mean you want to be on the filter? :P

I miss you! ♥

It worked really well. I didn't have much to lose--just the Freshman 15 (+10, in my case)--so it was mostly to learn some healthy eating habits, as well as portion control. I don't attend meetings anymore, but it is something that will stick with you.

I would love to be in on it. It might even inspire me to live out of the box, myself! I need to lose weight, too, so we can encourage one another (or mostly I'll encourage you, as I don't see anything changing for me in the near future. XD)
