Ok,There are only 3 of us for the moment.

I'm going to do my best to try and get this place up and going now that I have more time.Please let friends/family know about this community so it can grow.

its really not much of a recipe. 1 cup sugar, 1 cup rice, 8 cups milk and cinnamon and vanilla to flavor. crock pot- high8hrs.

I think I even have the stuff to make it now without having to wait till tomarrow to go shopping...oh wait, damn..i don't think we have any vanilla r cinnamon :(

How do u think it will turn out in a crock pot u can't adjust the temp on?I just have one of those small ones thats either on or off...no adjusting temp.

thats just extra. use ginger or nutmeg or allspice or just nothing at all.
look online or in the manual that came with the crockpot, it should say what temp it goes to and how that corresponds to high or low.

oh well there isn't crap for spices and such stuff at Jim's.He's really had no need for them really because Filipino food u use pretty much the same and he doesn't eat anything else really unless we go out to eat somewhere.There will be now though w/ me there because I need to have them for all the cooking.

I'll have to look in the crockpot book, hopefully it's with it in the box.I don't remember seeing anything before but I'll have to go thru it again.I should put another on layaway.I just got the cheapie last year because it was on sale for $10 and it's all we could really afford since we had just moved into our own place.
