ELLENNNNNN. WEEEEEEEEEEEIR. :D :D :D

I have to admit, I tend to be kind of harsh on characters who're in my age range (wonder if it's a throwback to when I was bullied? Day to day life I'm often a little ill at ease with my peers, though I'm better than I used to be. Though it could also be irritation at my peers in cinema rarely reflecting my interests irl ^^) but characters significantly younger or older than me I tend to be drawn towards.

I think I may have to go nosey :D!

I've not seen much SGA, but Weir? Totally awesome and I have so much respect. Ellen goes without saying ;) Sadly, I kind of feel like you could put all of the Supernatural women on the list :(

It's interesting that you say that about characters who are your peers in age. I don't know that I've got a trend, aside from "assertive", but it's started me thinking. And honestly, a lot of young women are written appallingly. On a lot of those shows, the same is true of men, but it doesn't change the first fact either.
