I'm watching "The Waters of Mars" (delightful, by the way) and all I can think is This is what happens when records management practices break down.

Right, and see how easy it made it to find the informaiton? Just imagine if some Ice Warrior record, detailing the freezing of the water and it's reasons, had survived!

I count that as a success, actually. The records were very easily accessible when they were needed. Just imagine if the Ice Warrior records (including in this definition oral records, if applicable) had survived, though!
