Just in case you were wondering. You probably weren't. Those of you that would be prone to wondering would check my Twitter and see that I still post there regularly. It's just that I haven't been at my computer in a very long time and I hate writing longer posts on my phone. So. But I can give you a few updates now ( Read more... )

You probably wouldn't actually have the new passport in time for the test anyway.

Also, that's the sort of scratching post I want for our kitties too, one where they can really climb on it. I think I'd just worry about it toppling over. How stable is the bottom?

In Odense they say it takes only 2 weeks for a passport and last time I had it within one week, even though it was in late June. But damn if I'm paying 625kr for a new one when I'm not even planning on going anywhere this year. :/

On its own it's not stable at all! BUT if it's pushed against a wall and/or you put this neat thing on top where you curse a lot (at least that was Maz's MO) to press it against the ceiling, it won't topple over. I bought this one for less than 700kr at a site called zooplus. If you want, give me your mail and as an existing user I'll 'recommend' the site to you, which will give you a 10% discount code. Nobody says you have to use it if you find a better place. :)

Nah, I'll wait a while. We're sort of back in frugal mode a little bit again, although this time just for saving up purposes. Hopefully at around this time next year we'll be looking at houses for real. :) (Hey, we do it already now, but mostly for dreaming. It's a surprisingly fun game, seeing how other people live.) I don't think I'd want to invest in something that large until after we're in our own place.

Fair enough. :) I think it seems stable enough. You just need to make sure that the height of the room is "compatible" with the height of the scratching post. I know, it shouldn't need saying, but the internet tells me that not everyone checks the measurements. O.o

LOL My Dad's a mechanic and he knows nothing about the cars his work sells. My brother is into cars and will be "Hey Dad, have you seen the new X" Dad will just shrug and tells us he doesn't go into the new car area :P

I'm honestly not sure this guy has a clue about buying used cars. I mean, sure, buying old crap probably works for him if he can keep it running, but the rest of us would need to spend a fortune on repairs. -_-

But it's funny that your dad is a mechanic who doesn't appear to give a crap about new cars. XD

looks like a great buy and what is the point of offering you advice on car prices after you've bought one. that's just dickish anyway. ignore him if you can. the car looks like you can pack loads into it too!

and yeah, good to hear from you :)

EXACTLY! Maz doesn't get why this guy bugs me so much, but really, it's just the assholery that's getting to me.

And it can hold a ton! I'm so excited!

Aww. ♥ I just don't like using LJ on my phone. Twitter is much more suited to that platform.

i'm not sure i'll ever get into twitter, but i know what you mean about LJ. the app is useless for me, because it doesn't let me see my inbox! i mean, only PMs, not if someone replied to something I wrote. so, eh. I have to use the main site on my tiny phone. i do it a lot, but it is a pain.

I really truly hate both the LJ and the Tumblr app so I don't use either. And I don't like typing long posts on either my phone (which has a 5" screen so it's not tiny per se) or my tablet, so most days I just... don't. I'm only even on my computer today because there was a game I wanted to play, haha.

I was looking at the photo of the car and I said to myself, "In which part of the world she lives where there's snow in June?"
You have to understand that I belong to the place where in my city we had 46 degree Celsius last Monday and Tuesday...

Haha, to be clear, it's not taken in June. We actually bought the car in May and the last time we had snow was... March, I think. So the pic is taken in March or earlier. :)

Also, damn that's hot. The weather around here keeps changing ten times a day, which is frustrating because it's impossible to dress for it. Today when we left the house (for a kind of faire) it was too hot to wear a jacket, then later it got extremely windy, and on the way home we got soaked by a torrent the like I haven't seen in a very long time. By the time we'd reached our home, the sun was of course ruling the sky again.
