I can't see their point at all, even if looking from ther own point of view (that the boy is always the predator), then whats stoppin gthe boy from taking the girl to his room? Or do they actually think that if this rule was not there, the boys would go to the girls rooms and rape them?! O.o

I think they think that the boys have an easier time of it if they can go to the girls' dorms and there pressure and pressure and pressure until the girls give in and give them Teh Secks.

It would be harder to lure the girls up to the boys' dorms to do the same thing.

IF I were to accept the premise of SEX MANIAC boys vs HAVE NO SPINE BLUSHING VIRGIN girls, then it would make sense.

But since I don't, I just want to smack people.

Also, the bit about it being to prevent older students from pressuring younger students... DUDE! What about, um, TEACHING THE KIDS COMMON DECENCY???

Teenagers can't think independent thoughts, they are controlled completly by their hormones. Just look at the rates of teen-pregnencies in places where they tried to teach them virtues such as decency (read the US bible belt). It simple doesn't work! You have to have strick abselute rules!

Actually, The UK has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancies anywhere.

But as far as I can tell from the documentaries I've seen on it, it's very much due to lack of educating the kids properly on safe sex. It boggles me, because I know very few people here in Denmark who are that ignorant.

Course, we do have teen pregnancies but they are depressingly often planned.
