It's December 1st! That means counting down for Christmas has begun. In Denmark 'Christmas calendars' with 24 episodes are airing on TV from December 1st to December 24th, and you can buy calendars where you open a window each day to reveal pictures, chocolate, or whether today is the day that will make you a millionaire

What I guess I'm trying to say is that the fic might not suffer at all from it, but I'd just... feel disappointed. And if I then spotted something in the last bit that I would have caught, it will bug me forever. Which is why I'm working hard to get at least as close to the end as possible. :)
I AM IMPORTANT, DAMMIT!

YAY for you. Saving + fandom + RL = Madness. I'm in awe at your managing skills.

But thanks all the same. ;)

I hope the beta thing works out. :) But if I don't get to have input on the ending, c'est la vie, I suppose.

I was also wondering... and want confirmation... is The Bracelet story on hold until u finish the story and then the yummie postings begin??
It's like waiting for Christmas presents!!! :)

Yeah, it's on posting-hold. I have 99-100 chapters written (Yeah, I know, INSANE number) and hopefully not that much to go. After Beta Madness is over, I'm going to take a few days to clear my head and then work on finishing it. It won't be by Christmas unless there truly is a miracle, but I hope to be done in January. After that, yummy postings of at least 1 per week should begin. :)

A good beta is worth her weight in gold. I'd ask for all sorts of extensions if I was convinced my fic would come back sparkly and minty smelling from a good beta.
And yes, yay for advent!

Haha, I don't really know if I'm a good beta. I guess I am if one can get used to my style of betaing. I try to give compliments where they are due, but mostly I just point out everything I see that could be improved. Spelling, grammar, word choice, canon vs fanon vs the fic in question, characterizations, plot. The less obvious flaws the piece has, the deeper I dig. So those who just want a spellcheck with built-in ego-boost will not like me as a beta. ;)
Of course, I don't beta often, because I simply can't stomach most flavors of fanon. >_> It's fairly pointless to beta something one doesn't really like to begin with. Rough but true. And it's REALLY difficult to tell someone you otherwise like that you don't like their fics.

You certainly sound like you do a good job on the occasions you do beta.
