I've pulled muscles corsetting my UY dressform.

What I had to do, eventually, was to put the body on the floor and pretty much kneel on it as I yanked away at the laces. I worked up a hell of a sweat, I'll admit...

I don't know what size you're using, but I was using the small/medium form and corsetting it down to 28", which shouldn't have been that much work, and yet it was.

My issue with the next smaller form is that it's far too *short* in the torso - a true petite, whereas I've got the torso of someone 5'6" on the legs of someone 4'8" or so...

I've heard that the smaller sizes are much harder to corset than the larger. I'd suggest getting a smaller one and padding up with quilt batting.
