[Someone's feeling nostalgic.]

Hey, uh, did anyone here ever go to one of those...waffle houses? Like, back home?

[This is so awkward. Bluh. Why is she even doing this?

Oh well.]

Do you think we could...I dunno, make one...here? Maybe a German one?

[Okay that's enough embarrassing awkwardness. She shuts the feed off.]

[You mentioned food. Obviously this requires Souji.]

...You don't mean "waffle house" literally, do you? It's like a restaurant?

Yeah, I wasn't asking if we could build a house out of waffles.

I'm guessing that means you haven't heard of them?

No. But I'm not American. [And he's just assuming that George is.] There are places like that in the city, though. They just serve western breakfast foods, right?

Why do you want one here?

[Souji is racist.] Oh, duh. Right. And yeah, basically. That and like, burgers and stuff. And amazing coffee...

[Siiigh.

Uh, anyway.] Well, back home there was...just, one I went to a lot. And I guess I kinda miss it.

[That's because he hates you if you're not food.]

Do you think building one will be the same?

[Wow, that sounds like an eating disorder, man.]

I dunno. It'd give me something to do, though.

[Souji is food-sexual.]

You could build a miniature one. I know someone who's good at stuff like that.

[Let's call it what it is: food-rapist.]

Like a model?

[Hm.]

I guess that's an idea. Who's your friend?

[That food was totally asking for it!]

His name's Kanji. He's really good with his hands. He usually makes stuffed animals and stuff, but I've seen him build other things, too.

[No bagels are safe.]

Oh. I've talked to him.

...He doesn't seem the type to make stuffed animals.

So is he...?

No. His family owns a textiles business so he grew up around that kind of thing.

[And kind of weird.]

...Where are you guys from, again?

Japan. It's a small town called Inaba.

Huh. You guys strike me as big city dudes.

[Because of the weirdness.]
