Title: Find Me
Pairing: Jin x Kame
Rating: NC-17
Genre - Catch Me: AU, angst, romance, smut, drama, tragedy
Beta by: my cat. okay, seriously, nobody
Disclaimer: I don't own KAT-TUN, any of its members, any other JE people. I write this for fun and for other fans of these fine folks. But don't steal my plots, mmkay? I put a great deal of time into them except for when I'm randomly spastically spitting words onto a page. But I value those too...
Summary - Catch Me: A dramatic turn in his life throws Kame into Jin's college world. Almost immediately they notice an attraction, but they spend more time clashing than not.
Summary - Lose Me: Kame and Jin still have the occasional argument but mostly they live happily together. But when someone from Kame's past shows up, will the two be able to deal?
Summary - Find Me: Kame has been kidnapped. Will he and Jin ever be reunited?
Warning: While "Catch Me" part is more towards the fluffy end of the scale at times, the other three parts have such things as drugs and murder and rape and all the fun parts of a bad neighborhood in a big city. Oh, and character death(s).

Find Me
Tenth Cut ~The Fateful Call~
Ueda was the only one still supporting his quest for Kame. Jin knew Ueda wanted so badly to erase the damage he’d caused and therefore, just like Jin, would never give up the search. His other friends, though… that hurt.
“They haven’t seen that tape, Jin. They only saw what Ryo put on that website, which wasn’t even close to… It’s not that they don’t want to keep looking, it’s just that…”
“…that they’re tired of looking and they gave up. He was their friend, Tat-chan!”
“That’s not fair.”
“Fuck fair.”
“You want to change their minds? Show them the tape then.”
Jin did a double-take. “Wait, you still have that? You said you destroyed it!”
“No, I said I destroyed the other one and the photo memory cards. But if we’re ever going to bring Ryo to justice, we need the tape!”
“So you would show it to them? Let more people see what Ryo did to him?”
“They already know, so…”
“So you’d pimp out his humiliation just to make them get up off their asses? What is wrong with you?!”
Now Ueda looked pissed as well. “That’s not what I meant and you know it. I just meant that, if you have…”
Ueda was interrupted by the ringing of Jin’s cell phone.
Caller ID showed an unknown number. As Jin went to answer it, Ueda grabbed his wrist and whispered, “That’s Ryo’s cell number!”
Jin went unglued. Answering, he started screaming obscenities into the phone at Ryo. “Where do you have him, you…”
A soft, weary voice, “…Jin?”
“Kazu! Oh, god, Kazu-chan, is it really you? Where are you?”
“I… I don’t know where I am…”
“What do you see?”
“An alley.”
“What about out on the street?”
“Can’t.”
“You can’t see the street?”
“I think…” but Kame trailed off. Something was definitely wrong. He seemed so distant and confused.
“Kazu?”
“Abandoned petrol station…”
“Can you walk to the end of the street, read the street signs?”
“Can’t.”
“Why not? Are you hiding from Ryo?”
“Too much blood.”
Jin’s heart leapt to his throat. Panicked, he asked, “Are you okay? What happened? Why are you bleeding? How bad is it?”
There was a pause, then, “Not sure. Cut deep before Ryo…” but Kame trailed off.
Jin started waving his hand frantically at Ueda, mouthing “map” so Ueda went flying down the corridor to his room. All of two minutes later, he returned with the map they’d been marking on during the nearly two month of searching.
“Kazu, I need you to focus, okay? I’m coming to get you. Did Ryo take you very far from where you were at first, that yellow building?”
“Don’t think so. Ten minutes?”
“Okay, when you peek out of the alley, is the station on your left or right?”
Another lengthy pause. “Right.”
“Okay, that’s south… Your side of the street or across the street?”
“Across.”
“Okay, if it’s safe, you stay put. I’m coming to get you right now! It’ll take about fifteen minutes for me to get there, okay?”
“Okay…”
And so Jin and Ueda bolted out the door and towards the only abandoned petrol station they’d come across in their search. When they got there, they crossed the street and began walking north, in the general direction of Kame.
“Kame?” Ueda shouted.
From Jin, “Kazu-chan?”
“Jin? Tat-chan?”
But when Jin got to Kame, he was horrified to find him covered in blood… and blood was still dripping from his left wrist where there was a jagged cut running up the inside of Kame’s arm. The other wrist had a similar cut but it was not as long nor as deep and wasn’t still bleeding. Kame’s left hand had a slash across the palm that was also bleeding.
Kame shirt and the front of his pants were soaked with blood. “Oh, Kazu-chan, what happened?”
Dazed, Kame answered, “Didn’t like the way the mirror looked at me. Broke it. He got so mad… but I hid the piece. To free me. But he stopped me before I was free… I think I did a bad thing…”
Ueda started to tear strips off his shirt. “We need to stop the bleeding. Give me your wrist.”
“Are…” Jin began, “are you saying you did this to yourself?”
“So dizzy. I will sleep now…”
Jin barely caught him before he fell to the ground. Kame hadn’t completely passed out but he seemed close to it. While Jin held him, Ueda bandaged up the wrist as best he could. Kame just whimpered in Jin’s arms.
“What happened to Ryo?” Jin asked, shaking Kame to keep him awake. It didn’t seem like a good idea to let him pass out after losing so much blood.
Ueda whispered to Jin, “This can’t all be his blood. There’s way too much of it.”
Sleepily, Kame answered, “Dead?”
Jin was taken aback. “Ryo is dead?”
“Maybe…”
“Maybe?”
“The mirror... So much blood… Body went… limp… on… flo…” Kame’s head lolled to one side and his eyes closed. Jin shook him again. “… on floor,” Kame murmured.
“Jin, you have to get him to the hospital. Now. I’ll look for Ryo.”
So Jin scooped Kame up into his arms, noticing how much lighter he seemed than before. “Stay with me, Kazu, okay? Wake up.” And he carried him to the closest hospital he could find.

“How long has your friend been suicidal?” the doctor asked him, after he finished tending to Kame.
Unable to bite back his anger, Jin all but shouted, “He’s not suicidal, okay? God, first the cops, then the school, then our friends, and now you. He was KIDNAPPED, damn it! He’s been missing two months almost!”
“I’m not surprised to hear that. I believe you.”
“You… you do?”
Nodding, the doctor said, “Well, firstly, there are the bruises and the scars. Not to mention the partially-healed cracked ribs on the x-ray. And that’s just the start. He must have been through a lot to reach the state he’s…” but the doctor couldn’t finish his sentence even. The look on his face said enough.
“Scars? Cracked ribs? Oh, god, Kazu...” Jin took a deep breath. “When can I take him home?”
“Well, we’re transfusing blood still. He lost a lot. It’s a wonder he didn’t die from hemorrhagic shock before you got him here. Are you sure he won’t attempt suicide again?”
“Yes.”
“If he lives through the night and responds well to the transfusion, you can take him home in a week or so.”
Jin thought his heart stopped for a moment. “If? What do you mean, if?”
“His system has been through a lot in a short span of time. Let’s just see in the morning, okay?”
Something occurred to Jin. “Nee, Doctor… the school didn’t believe me when I said he was kidnapped, because the cops didn’t believe me. So, the school expelled. Could you write them a letter, see if they will reinstate him so he can come home?”
The doctor nodded. “I’ll have it delivered as soon as it is done.”
“I… I want to stay with him. If Kame wakes up and I’m not here, he might freak out.”
The doctor nodded.
A huge sigh of relief (well, as huge as the stifling uncertainty of Kame’s condition allowed) spread throughout Jin’s body. “Thank you. Thank you for everything!” and he was suddenly crying and bowing deeply over and over again.

Ueda followed the blood trail back further in the alley to an entrance, door ajar and inner door knob covered in blood. The trail continued a few steps along the hall to another open door on the right with another bloody knob. Eventually, it ended in a small bedroom.
That’s where Ueda found Ryo, lying on the floor bleeding out. A jagged mirror shard was sticking out of Ryo’s chest, though it looked like that was not the first place it had been. Ryo’s left arm had a long gash, deep enough to see the bone. There were several slash marks on his chest and a few other stab wounds as well.
Suffice it to say, Ryo was a bloody mess. But even more shocking, he wasn’t dead.
Yet.
As Ryo wheezed faintly, “Help… Ueda…”
Ueda said, “Oh, I’ll help…” and he pulled the mirror shard out of Ryo’s chest and used it cut his throat. And, once he confirmed the whole building was empty and not connected to any other occupied buildings (he didn’t want fire to spread unchecked), he set Ryo’s body to burning.
