A few days ago...maybe more, it's all a blur...anyway, at some point in the recent past, I mentioned there was a convergence of a bunch of things from my online history going on.

One of them was reading Sara Bennett Wealer's Rival, a debut novel by a fantastic writer who's been my LJ friend for...well, for about as long as I've had an LJ, IIRC

Mary, I'm so sorry I didn't see this when you first posted it. The time's been a blur for me, too, and I hate thinking I missed such a wonderful post from such a great friend. Oh, no apologies necessary! I know the book's debut had you running around like a madwoman.

It really was funny to see the book guru's reaction--I could almost read, "Wait, HARPERTEEN?" as it flashed across her brain. :)

And thank you so much for the note in the acknowledgments! It really touched me, and I've been taking the book to my crit groups showing it off, and encouraging them to read it of course. :)
