i used to work with a code guy who liked gimp, i'm visual myself, and never liked it much i preferred macromedia, but adobe bought them out and fucked up freehand and flash two vector programs that were much better than illustrator.bloody corporate raiders.. now adobe costs $125 USD a month just to use it. i use pixelmator on apple for photos, and an old flash 8 that i still have to do vector. i boycotted adobe otherwise. fuck adobe.
