All of my thoughts, oh God!

So, I was screaming like a child through the opening cinematic because I love Lightning and Caius that much, apparently. I like the design of Lightning's armor, since it reminded me heavily of Odin Sphere. Very interested to hear more from her, assuming that I can. As for Caius, there are... Don't laugh. I can count on one hand with plenty of fingers left over the number of fics that prominently feature Caius and still accurately portray his relationship with Yeul (I will neither confirm nor deny your impression). Most of the time she doesn't appear at all.

And I wouldn't worry. The first level doesn't show Serah in the best of lights, but she gets over it - she does some pretty badass things over the course of the game. She doesn't really have a growing up story because she doesn't need one.

Wow... I'll probably end up liking Yeul just to spite people then. Or at least fic her with a vengeance.

Good to hear Serah gets over it though. I was freaking out about it a little. I just liked her so much in XIII and I didn't want XIII-2 to make me like her less.

I don't think you'll need spite to like Yeul. I think you'll like her all on your own. :)

*pets* Don't worry. Trust in the game. I did, and I didn't regret it. Besides, there are always ways to fix things.

I definitely like Noel, just moreso than I thought I would initially. I've been calling him "The only well-adjusted person here... Except for Lightning."

I'm looking forward to seeing Serah develop a bit more, though. I liked her a lot in XIII, so I'm hoping to like her even more as a main character.

Erp. I'm not sure if I'd end up spoiling things for you if I gave my full opinion on everything, so I'll be cryptic: it is love, but not in the way it might first seem; Noel, for all his Sora vibes, has won me over; and Serah... has potential. Hang in there.

(But we call all agree how purdy those goshdarn FMV sequences are. 8D)

I think I'm going to end up more interested in Caius and Yeul than anyone else (except for Lightning), and I can't wait. :D Noel had me from the get-go, and I'm holding out for Serah.

(The FMV sequences are gorgeous!)
