You didn't think you'd gotten rid of me, did you? If so, I'll be delighted sorry to disappoint you. 0=)

I've noticed it before, how you're able to rewrite a scene or a chapter from a different character's POV and never be boring or repetitive. Part of it, I believe, is because you're very clever with replacing parts of the dialogue with running text. But mainly, it's because you're SO DARN good at catching the individual "voices" of the characters - this wasn't just Jake's POV versus Beth's of the same thing, but it was totally different, because even when people experience the same thing, they will experience it differently.

Oh, and I love how you included some thoughts about Bella - and Edward! That was a surprise, and an interesting one, too. But what was there about Bella was just enough, and exactly what I imagined Jacob would think about her, and in relation to Beth.

I just finished another re-read of Twilight today, so Jake and Beth's tumbling around in the water reminded me of Edward's fake attack of Bella the first time

I confess it has crossed my mind to wonder if retelling the same scene in this chapter was a mistake. Simply because I got a somewhat lukewarm response in some of the other places I post my fic. But... personally, I think I like Jake's version a little better than Beth's. He's very relaxed here, very comfortable, and it makes for good storytelling~

lol, He insisted on the bit about Edward, the evil thing. Simply because he knows that it's highly unlikely that Edward and Bella have been intimate by this point, and he feels smugly superior. XD Although that doesn't explain why he was thinking of Edward during sex. *cough*

Honestly, I've spoiled myself. I don't know that I can truly enjoy Jake with anyone else now. lolz~
