I left for work about 20 minutes early so I could be at the polling place when it opened. When I got there, there was a line stretching through the entryway and down the parking lot. It moved pretty fast -- so I was soon standing in line inside the building. (It was in a nearby church's gym.) Forty-five minutes after I arrived, I fed my ballot

Twylla dinged 70? Awesome! Tael is going to be completely impressed, especially if Twy goes on her first expedition to Northrend before my STUPID financial crisis clears up Tael can disentangle herself from whatever is occupying her right now.

...though actually I've kind of been thinking of rerolling Tael as a Death Knight.

She sure did! I have WotLK on order, but how soon Twy gets there will depend on how soon the mass exodus clears out. I've heard that the DK starting zones actually use the new phasing stuff, so you're only sharing the zone with a subset of the other DKs leveling -- I may play with a DK a little while I wait.

Tael as a DK? I... just don't see it. lol. Unless she's an 'alternate reality' Tael. Ie, how she turned out if certain things went a bit differently.

Well, it may be me suffering a Catastrophic Lore Failure (TM). I do from time to time. I wasn't under the impression that being DK was something you chose so much as it could be inflicted on you... and I've been toying with various ways of explaining Tael's lengthy absence, RP-wise.

By the time I'm able to start playing her again, she'll have been gone (minus that one seminar where she was present for what, ten minutes?) for a couple of months. I'd like to have something happen to her during that time, that either prevented her from getting in touch with people, or left her so embarrassed/upset that she just didn't want to see anyone. Her going DK is kind of extreme, I agree, but the idea just popped up =)

I guess with her popping up on rare intervals, it slipped my mind that Tael'd really been gone so long. If those visits are OOC, then you're right -- there's time for her to have been turned and start to break free now.

Yeah, that could work. I'd be interested to see it.

And after the commotion Acorna caused at the last symposium, DK-Tael *could* end up as the test case for whether a DK can be accepted into the college. (For now Persi is saying No Death Knights in the school. Too much of a hazard.)

I am in the same boat as you that my main is going to hit 70 just before the expansion. XD Leveling a holy priest has been a long, tough road, but it is worth it.

And... I am jealous of both of your incomings. DX They are two that I am crazy for...

Hee, I'd say that leveling as holy is insane, myself. I just wouldn't have the patience to try it! I have/had a shadow priest (haven't respecced her since they cleared everyone's talents) and leveling shadow is annoying enough on its own.

Or maybe I just don't have what it takes to be a clothie. :D

Well, I think it's like this--the dailies only give so much gold because you're at the level cap. All quests instead of experience give you twice as much gold when you're at the level cap. So I'm assuming that once the expansion come out, and the level cap is 80, the dailies will give experience and half the gold instead.

Grats on your 70! I should really get my warrior to 70 before the expansion hits. But I've been too busy on my main trying to get all the achievements. It pains me that SM and WC didn't count for me, cause I've done them so many times. Or the book reading one. Cause I got really bored one day and read every single book in SM.

Hmm. Not as useful (to me) as 100% gold, but it would be a worthwhile diversion until Northrend becomes habitable.

SM and WC didn't count for you -- because it didn't recognize that you'd previously completed them? That sucks! Especially with WC, that place drives me to drink. Though I'm in a similar boat. A guildmate and I tried WC twice the other day, and both times the drood bugged on us and was stuck perma-summoning the boss.

Our theory is that we should have let some of the attacking mobs hit him, but neither of us can stand the idea of trying it again just yet to see if that's the case. Any idea if our theory's correct, or what we should be doing differently?

I voted two weeks ago. Whew! Now I am sitting here at 1:30 am waiting to see how our state goes. Both my kids voted first time this time. :)
