Sometime last week, I don't know when because I opened all my mail on Sunday, a letter arrived from my home owners association's executive committee. They unilaterally banned skate boards, roller skates, motor scooters and pretty much everything else that has wheels and isn't a car, motorcycle or bicycle, from the community

That's unbelievable! How can they do that? Are you living in a private community?

And who would want to stop kids from playing outside? This is exactly the kind of thing that makes them feel alienated and misunderstood. WTF?!

Sorry, I had to rant. This sort of thing just makes me so angry!

Sorry to hear about your Vespa. I'm sure it won't be a problem, and if it is, you can always petition them to change the wording (if not to have the whole thing overturned!).

They are just trying to make the world a better place for you ungrateful whippersnappers! You know those dang kids are always getting in people's yard with their skateboards and Vespas!

I hope you can get it over-turned or at least not be bothered by it. ;-; My cousin is an avid skateboarder and he is a church every Sunday missionairy in training, so, yeah, them darn kids on their skateboards are disrupting society!

Can you petition? I don't know anything about how home owners associations work, but if you got the parents of the skate boarders, the clubhouse office guy, and walked around and asked people, you might be able to change it. Worth a try? Cause that's just bullshit.
