Somehow, doing my taxes last night has screwed up my knee. Maybe it's all the inactivity. Maybe it's just age. I just don't know anymore. All I do know is that it's making me very, very grumpy. Another way taxes are bad for you: I ended up consuming an entire pint of ice cream ( Read more... )

I love Rasselas's comment also. I'd like that on a t-shirt, actually. Hee!

Have you ever seen How William Shatner Changed the World? (It's really about how Star Trek as a whole was such an inspiration to so many people.) Shatner hosts it and is hilarious.

It's all very tongue in cheek and they do address the title of the programme at one point in the show. I also remember Jonathan Frakes of ST:TNG popping up at one point (as himself rather than archival footage like most of the other actors) and it was also very amusing.

I'm not minding Dollhouse. I'm willing to cut it a fair amount of slack, not just because of Joss, but also because it's a safe assumption that Fox dicked about with it, and so what we're getting right now is probably not what Joss had in mind. I admit some of the scenarios are rather outlandish - why would you pay for someone to be programmed as a hostage negotiater when you could just an actual hostage negotiater? - but it's not enough to put me off. Also, it has Helo. And having seen Friday's episode, I have decided that next time I'm really stressed, I'm going to start screaming "SOMEONE IS EATING A MINT!!!", just to see where it takes me.
