This is a speculative one shot about how Zuko might handle it if Jet had survived until the end of the series.  For the purposes of this story, rather than being released, Jet was kept at Lake Laogai until Azula conquered Ba Sing Se.  The Freedom Fighters attempt to free him and so she has him and other high level prisoners sent to the Boiling Rock

This was very well-written. Angst-ridden Jetko(within limitations) is always something I can appreciate, and your characterization of Zuko was great. Just because the series ended does not mean that he instantly began to disregard the fact that "Azula never lies," so your fic was an interesting read with him dwelling over her words. Awesome job! :)

Jetko is one of my favorite pairings from Avatar. I was actually watching Avatar during my "downtime" during this past TNT, and I had just made it to the Jet/Zuko meeting in Ba Sing Se. My appreciation for Jetko was actually created at TNT. Go figure. X3

At any rate, I wouldn't have pegged you for a Jetko fan, either, but my curiosity spurred me to investigate because of the "buckle" in your user name. It was one of those "surely not!" moments. :)

Yeah, I really just picked it up about 3 weeks ago, when Dea told me that she just ran across a JetxZuko fanfic and what a weird pairing that was. And I complained about how squicky a lot of Avatar slash is, and then I coincidentally ran across a Jetko fic that was really really interesting sounding. So I read it and realized just how nicely it fits into canon. So then I found this group and read it's archives.

I'm totally hooked now. Haha
