Headphones? I could use some help here.

So I've decided to get myself a nice set of headphones for my console and PC gaming needs, something durable that'll last me awhile. The problem is that I don't know much about headphones (other than "don't buy Bose"), though I've been eyeing some headphones from Shrue, V-Moda, Sennheiser, and Klipsch. If it's exclusively for gaming, get a mid-range pair of Turtle Beach headphones. If for anything you can/will plug headphones in to, Sennheiser HD-280's (or 280-pro. I have no idea which they label it as).

Hm. And newegg has them on sale right now. What're your opinions on the Shure SRH 240 series?

We often used Shure microphones in my studio audio classes so they're definitely a reputable brand. In fact, just about every concert you go to will have the lead singer on a Shure SM-58 due to its warmth of sound and clarity as well as durability. Sennheiser is another good brand, but I don't think you'd be disappointed if you got the Shure ones either.

Ended up picking up a set of Sennheiser HD-202 II headphones. I'm not enough of an audiophile to tell the difference between the different grades, so I figured that I should start cheap.
