September is drawing to a close. This past is the first summer in recent memory that seemed as long as grade school summers. People start to make the traditional autumn statement on how quickly the year has passed, and I'll mutter some perfunctory agreement-- but I don't mean it. 2008 has engorged itself with too many happenings; it's got too much ( Read more... )

I'm pleased you had a Long Summer. My Summers get shorter as I age, this one the shortest yet, made even more so by enthusiasm at work. The pear harvest seems like it's passed too quickly.

The funny thing is, I don't think I really reflected on it until just this week. One of those "don't notice it was there until it's gone" bits. I'm hoping I'll be more present for autumn-- shouldn't be hard. I've got my annual Existential Crisis scheduled for November. :)

You should! We have about a billion bizarre, fabulous, and obscure board games (many of them word games. I know you're a player after my own heart), and a very comfy sofa. I'll pamper you goooood.
