This won't be the end, either way; both sets of lawyers are sitting on their hands and waiting for the opportunity to appeal. However -- if we don't win at this level, then we're doomed, because Boies and Olson were a thousand times better than the pro-Prop 8 lawyers in the last round of trials, and because Judge Walker is sympathetic to our case.
The real question is, what kind of law Judge Walker uses to make his decision. Will it be a small, procedural decision, or will it be a major legal precedent?
God, finally. I hope you're right. I wish the whole thing could be over with now...the appeals seem like one place things could go wrong. They shouldn't have a leg to stand on, but I'm still mildly in shock at the world that it got passed in the first place so now I'm biting my nails a bit.
